Getting to know Lawrence Stroup

Life has a way of presenting unforeseen circumstances for all of us. Having support when we need it the most is a valued need and a service I help provide to my clients. I focus on helping you find strength, build on hope, and develop skills to become more resilient for the challenges you may face. I have worked with people from all ages and stages of life by helping to serve individuals, groups, and families in outpatient, residential, and inpatient settings. I have spent much of the last few years providing care in crisis and acute environments. My practice is currently focused on serving adults and couples. Many clients have shared appreciation for an authentic, calm, caring, nonjudgmental approach to helping process their unique needs. I have an eclectic approach. My experience working in the mental health field began in 2007, and I have worked clinically since 2014. My educational background includes a Master of Social Work from Indiana University School of Social Work in Indianapolis, where I concentrated on Mental Health and Addictions. As an undergraduate, I attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Anthropology. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana and a Certified Financial Social Worker.
