Lea Bathon, AMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I offer a supportive, grounded space where you don’t have to have everything figured out before you show up. Clients often come to me when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or like they’ve been carrying a lot on their own. In our work together, we slow things down, make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface, and build practical tools to help you feel more balanced and in control. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. I draw from psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and mindfulness-based techniques to support both insight and real-life change. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning to it, I aim to meet you where you are and help you move forward in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to help you feel heard and understood. I take a collaborative strength-based approach to therapy, which means we will work together to explore your goals and identify individual strategies that work best for you. Therapy is a personal journey, and we will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the beginning we focus on building our therapeutic relationship, helping us create a plan for our work together. Sessions will be guided by your needs and goals as we will explore your thoughts, emotions and behaviors as we introduce tools and/or strategies that may support you. As we proceed, we will reflect on your progress, as the goal is help you feel supported while building the skills and insights you need to create a healthier life.
