Hi everyone! My name is Lea Rojas Otero, and I am originally from Puerto Rico. I recently relocated to Florida after spending the past 9 years in Massachusetts, where I provided mental health and substance use counseling services in outpatient settings. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Kairos University and a Master of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Substance Abuse Counseling from Universidad Central del Caribe in PR. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC-I) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-II) in Massachusetts, as well as a Certified Master's Level Addiction Professional (MCAP), Internationally Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (ICADC), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-I). My practice focuses on providing telehealth psychotherapy to adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I utilize an integrative, evidence-based approach grounded primarily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while incorporating Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim.
