Getting to know Leah Brignall

Let's be real—sometimes life can just be HARD. All of the life transitions and stress can lead to increased anxiety, depression, and overwhelm. Are you feeling stuck? Struggling to find some sense of direction and purpose? Craving deeper relationships? Searching for these answers alone can be exhausting—that's where I come in! I help teens and young adults build confidence in themselves, their relationships, and their lives through understanding, healing, and skill building. I hold a Master’s in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ottawa University Arizona (OUAZ) and a Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, which equip me to support you on your journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Together we will explore you; your strengths, your challenges, your wants and needs. We might incorporate worksheets to assess and learn, art to express yourself and explore ideas, or talk therapy to process and share your stories. This time is yours, so the goal is up to you, and I am here to help guide you along the way. You have taken the first step already by looking for help, now feel free to reach out! This is a place you can be completely yourself and completely supported. It is time to let go of the heaviness you have been carrying, and find what makes you feel peaceful, fulfilled and passionate.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the intake I am learning about you, your history, and what brings you to counseling. We will also work together to come up with some goals for counseling. I will use all of this information to create a treatment plan crafted to fit your specific needs. Individual sessions can look different depending on the person or the day. Your sessions can contain expressive arts, talk therapy, psychoeducation, practicing skills.. whatever you need to meet your needs. I am happy to give suggestions or not, it is your time and it is up to you!
