My name is Léah Ferreira, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, dual licensed in California (LMFT #128659) and Oregon (LMFT #T2207). I grew up in Southern California but thrive best in the rain, cooler weather, and the overall energy of the Pacific Northwest. As a queer therapist, I focus on creating a safe and comfortable space for my clients, even during virtual sessions. I am empathetic, understanding, and compassionate about your goals and treatment. I see my role as a guide, providing a space where asking for help is not looked down upon but admired. The first step is always hard, and I’m proud of you for being here. My approach to therapy is holistic, eclectic, and client-centered. I work with clients of all ages, including couples and families, helping them bridge new relationships with their pasts so their futures can be fulfilling and hopeful. Thank you for being here. After several years as a teacher, I realized my heart belonged to counseling and that I wanted to become a therapist. To pursue this, I returned to school and, in 2018, earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My Approach. Everyone has their own style, their own uniqueness to them. As such, therapy should reflect that. I want to meet each client where they are at to work with them to discover what it is that keeps them from the life they wish to have. Together, we can find the source that keeps you from healing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our zoom sessions are a safe space, a non-judgmental zone, where you are free to fill it up with what you need in order to work through what you need. There is compassion and understanding in every session, particularly in the first session. Deciding to seek help can be hard, yet it's the first step on the path to healing. Let's walk that path together.
