What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with Elevate is structured, compassionate, and results-oriented. In our first 1–2 sessions we clarify your goals and map the patterns getting in the way (for couples: your conflict cycle, repair habits, and shared values). We blend Gottman Method, EFT, CBT, and IFS—so you’ll get both insight and concrete tools. Expect direct, kind feedback and brief “between-session reps” to practice skills in real life. We track progress, adjust quickly, and keep sessions focused on what matters most to you. Virtual across NJ with limited in-person availability in Ridgewood; in-network with Aetna and BCBS.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Working with Elevate is structured, compassionate, and goal-driven. Sessions 1–2 (Intake & goals): We clarify what you want to change, review history, and set measurable goals. For couples, we map the “negative cycle” and strengths. Sessions 3–6 (Plan & skills): We begin targeted work using EFT/Gottman for connection and repair, plus CBT/IFS tools for thoughts, habits, and boundaries. You’ll leave each visit with brief “between-session reps.” Ongoing (Refine & measure): We start weekly, then taper as progress holds. Every 6–8 weeks we review outcomes, update the plan, and set the next focus. A typical session: quick check-in ? focused skill or deeper work ? practice/role-play ? a clear plan for the week. Care is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming. Virtual across NJ; limited in-person availability in Ridgewood.
