Life brings us a range of experiences that can evoke feelings of joy, excitement, and happiness—moments when we feel on top of the world—as well as those that bring discomfort, including sadness, despair, anger, or uncertainty. As we traverse through life, it is without question that we will feel the full range of these emotions. When life becomes more uncomfortable or unmanageable, therapy can assist us in finding ways to move through these moments by building resilience and emerging with grace and a better sense of ourselves. As a practicing therapist for the past 17 years, I have come to understand that change and growth require a warm and nurturing environment where clients feel safe and understood as they work through their current challenges. I have found great benefit in adopting a stance of unconditional positive regard for my clients, allowing for vulnerability without judgment and self-empowerment without second-guessing. Theoretically, I lean toward solution-focused strategies as well as cognitive (thought) restructuring. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, which has provided a strong foundation for my clinical work. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of populations, including adolescents facing primary mental health challenges and adults struggling with chemical addiction and other co-occurring issues such as anxiety, panic, depression, and trauma, across various settings. I hope to be part of your journey toward hope and life fulfillment.
