What should a new client know about working with you?

I draw from behavioral therapies, mindfulness, person-centered therapy, and MI to help clients increase self-awareness, manage thoughts and emotions, build coping skills, and find motivation for lasting change. I adjust my approach to meet each client’s needs, creating a safe and collaborative space for growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Before our first session, you’ll complete brief intake paperwork covering consent, confidentiality, and background information. This ensures ethical standards and gives me a starting point to understand your needs. Our initial session or two will focus on assessment: getting to know you, your story, strengths, and what brings you to therapy. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify the best approaches to support you, whether that’s improving mood, reducing anxiety, managing stress, or navigating life transitions. Once we’ve developed a shared understanding, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that outlines your goals and the steps we’ll take to reach them. Regular sessions, typically weekly or biweekly, provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts and emotions, build coping skills, and reflect on progress. Therapy is a collaborative process! You set the pace and decide what feels most helpful. Over time, we’ll revisit your goals to celebrate growth and make adjustments as needed. Whether you’re seeking short-term support or long-term change, therapy offers a space to feel understood, gain insight, and develop tools that empower you both now and beyond our sessions.
