“Working with Leanna has been awesome. I’ve been “in-therapy” off and on for a few years and I have never seen and felt a change in my life from therapy so quickly. The pre-session Q&A set the direction for the begin sessions; which I appreciated. Having an idea of what would be discussed took away some of the anxiety that came with seeing a new therapist. I leave my sessions with helpful suggestions and a sense of direction as to where I should start on my journey to improve.”

Getting to know Leanna Lee-Sydnor

I’m the founder of LLS Therapies, a group practice supporting individuals, couples, and adolescents navigating high-pressure seasons of life. Many of the people who find us are thoughtful, reliable, and used to being the strong one, but are ready for a space where they don’t have to hold it all together. You may look capable and composed on the outside while privately feeling stressed, burned out, or unsure how much longer you can carry everything on your own. At LLS Therapies, we support individuals, couples, and adolescents across work, relationships, and school. Depending on your needs, you may work with me directly or with a clinician on my team who is carefully matched to you. Our team blends insight-oriented therapy with practical tools from psychodynamic, CBT/DBT-informed, and attachment-based approaches. The goal isn’t just coping; it’s clarity, steadiness, and more meaningful connection. We offer telehealth across NY and CT, and in-person sessions in Greenwich and Washington, CT. You can schedule directly with a clinician or we can help match you to the right fit.

What should a new client know about working with you?

At LLS Therapies, clients can expect sessions that are grounded, culturally responsive, and tailored to your goals. Our clinicians support teens, adults, and couples through a blend of insight, coping skills, and clear therapeutic structure. We create a space where you can be honest, slow down, and make meaningful changes that strengthen emotional regulation, connection, and long-term resilience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At LLS Therapies, we begin by understanding your needs and matching you with a clinician who fits your goals, personality, and preferences. Because we work with individuals, couples, adolescents, and college students, this step helps ensure you start in the right place. Your first session is structured and grounding. We explore what’s been going on, identify patterns, and clarify what you want to change. Together, you and your therapist set a pace that feels both safe and productive. From there, your clinician tailors the work to you; blending insight-oriented therapy with practical strategies. Our approach integrates psychodynamic work, CBT/DBT-informed tools, and attachment-focused exploration. Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum. Over time, sessions may shift depending on your needs. Our goal is to offer a space where you can step out of performance mode, understand your patterns, and build lasting emotional clarity and stability.
