Leanne Leonard, LMFT

Psychotherapist
PA
Most people who enter therapy feel stuck-whether in relationship conflicts, depressive cycles, or life ruts. What helps to get "unstuck" is gaining a different perspective and engaging in new interactions. I believe all people and situations can change if you want them to. I work well with motivated and dedicated individuals, helping you find new solutions to your daily problems and conflicts. As a very interactive, directive, and coaching-based therapist, I believe that without the necessary skills, problematic interactions will remain the same. I specialize in marriage and family issues and also work with individuals and extended family members. I focus on teaching effective communication and problem-resolution skills to all my clients. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hill University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and tools to support meaningful change in your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a very interactive, directive, and coaching based therapist who believes that without the skills necessary, the problem interactions will remain the same.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the initial therapy session, a biopsychosocial assessment will be completed with additional assessments if needed. I will complete a treatment plan prior to your second session, which I will briefly review with you at the start of the second session. Included within the treatment plan is a mental health diagnosis, which is required for insurance billing. I am happy to review the contents of the diagnosis at any time. Once we review and agree on your treatment plan, we will get started working on the goals we have outlined!
