Psychotherapist
2645 N Sheridan Rd, Ste 708, Chicago, IL
As a therapist, I strive to ensure that the largest influence on your life story is your genuine self, not judgment, worry, fear, or external entities. To do this, I help you: identify what has held you down or is holding you back, discard unnecessary judgment, and leave behind what no longer serves you, so that you can embrace positive change. My therapeutic style is holistic, considering the whole person instead of focusing solely on psychological symptoms. I utilize a variety of behavioral and experiential therapies and techniques, which I tailor to the unique and specific needs of my clients. My career path has afforded me the great fortune of working with clients from many different walks of life, addressing a spectrum of topics in a variety of settings. I have provided individual, family, and group counseling for adolescents and adults, as well as crisis management support. The seeds of my career were planted when I was a 19-year-old undergraduate at Illinois State University; I volunteered with a crisis hotline and never looked back. I went on to received my Master’s Degree in School Counseling and Clinical Counseling from Lewis University and committed myself to helping others craft a life they can look back on with satisfaction. We are all the authors of our own life story; but sometimes we lose our pen, get writers block, or let someone or something else take over our narrative. My job is to make sure that your pen is firmly in your grasp and that the story you are writing is truly your own, free of judgment or bias and full of honesty and insight. We can’t go back and change the beginning, but we can start where you are and change the ending.
