Psychotherapist

Many of the people I work with are carrying something they've never said out loud. Maybe it's the exhaustion of a brain that works differently than the world seems to expect. Maybe it's a pattern of sexual behavior they're ashamed of and can't seem to change on their own. Maybe it's the experience of being a college student who is capable and intelligent, and somehow still falling apart. Whatever brought you here, you don't have to have it figured out before we start. I'm a clinical psychologist with specialized training and experience in three areas that overlap more than most people realize: supporting college students and young adults, working with neurodivergent individuals (including adults with ADHD, autism, and learning differences), and helping men navigate pornography use and sexual integrity concerns. Across all three, I find the same core themes: shame, self-doubt, and the sense that everyone else got a manual you never received. As a PSYPACT-authorized provider, I offer telehealth services to clients in 43 participating states — meaning you can access specialized care no matter where you live. No long waitlists hunting for a local specialist. Just quality, licensed psychological care from wherever you are.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach draws on three evidence-based frameworks that I weave together based on what each person needs: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps us identify the thought patterns and behavioral cycles keeping you stuck, and build concrete strategies to change them. Emotion-Focused Therapy goes underneath the surface to help you actually understand what you're feeling, not just manage it. Self-Compassion practices make lasting change possible. Shame and self-criticism keep people stuck. Learning to treat yourself like someone worth helping is often where real growth begins. Sessions are collaborative, direct, and free of judgment. I won't pathologize you, lecture you, or hand you a worksheet and call it therapy. I'll work alongside you to understand what's actually going on, and help you build something better.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sessions with me are collaborative and conversational, not a clipboard of questions or a lecture on coping skills. We start where you are that day, whether that's something that happened this week or a pattern you've been trying to understand for years. Depending on what you need, we might work through a specific thought pattern or behavioral cycle using CBT tools. We might slow down and stay with a difficult emotion rather than problem-solving past it, that's the emotion-focused side of our work. And we'll often return to the way you talk to yourself, because shame and self-criticism show up in almost every struggle I see, whether it's a brain that won't cooperate, a behavior you can't seem to stop, or just the quiet feeling that you're falling behind everyone else. My goal is for sessions to feel like something you actually want to come back to... not because they're easy, but because they're honest, useful, and safe enough to do real work in.
