Getting to know Leigha Rychlik

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, having graduated from Texas State University in 2020. I have several years of experience working in outpatient settings, as well as PHP and IOP levels of care, working with all age ranges from adolescents to geriatrics, couples, and families. I am trained in Brain Spotting (Phase 1 & 2), Gottman Level 1, and I am currently in the process of completing my 200 HR Yoga Certification. I have a trauma-informed, relational approach that integrates mindfulness, somatic therapy, and attachment-based therapy. When I am not working, I enjoy hiking around Central Texas, practicing yoga, and trying new restaurants around Austin.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m so glad you’re here! You’ve made your first steps to foster healing and change. I offer a supportive space where you can grow, heal, and connect with yourself. Therapy is a courageous step, and it’s my honor to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I utilize a trauma-informed, relational, and somatic based approach that can be tailored to your needs in therapy. Ultimately, building a strong therapeutic relationship and meeting you where you are is the first step. I believe in a holistic approach where mind, body, and spirit are all acknowledged when it comes to healing, and I often incorporate somatic based techniques in sessions. I am trained in Brain Spotting, a type of trauma therapy that utilizes eye movement to process trauma, and I am currently completing my 200 hour Yoga Certification. I also have a strong knowledge base and background in CBT, DBT, ACT, Gottman Level 1, and Emotion Focused Therapy, and incorporate those as well.
