With over 20 years of experience in both the Community Mental Health model and Private Practice, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve their personal goals. I earned my master’s degree in Psychology from Houston Baptist University in 2001, and since then, I've dedicated my career to supporting clients through various mental health issues and life transitions. My therapeutic approach is empathetic, goal-oriented, and client-centered. I believe that with enough empathy, acceptance, and respect, clients can find solutions to their problems, even if they are not mentally ill. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients set and achieve their goals. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem challenges, career difficulties, mood disorders, substance use issues, or OCD, I am here to support you. In addition to my extensive experience, I am also a certified Anger Resolution Therapist and have received training in Gottman Couples Therapy. My work includes helping clients manage stress, anger, loss, abuse/neglect, and the frustrations of life. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to work through their problems and achieve their goals. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the vibrant culture of Houston, and staying active through various outdoor activities.
