Getting to know Lesley Eckhardt

Hello and welcome! The journey forward begins with you, and you have taken the important first step to begin this endeavor. It is my hope that I can come alongside you and help you navigate your journey by facing and overcoming challenges of the past and present that have been inhibiting you from reaching your fullest potential and becoming the best version of yourself. My name is Lesley Eckhardt, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida with a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University and over 25 years of experience in crisis, trauma, and attachment, as well as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD. I work with children, teens, adults, and the elderly, as well as multi-generational family systems. As a clinician, I utilize a client-centered approach within a systems framework, allowing for personal and interpersonal insights and developing healthy cognitive and behavioral responses that lead to personal growth. It is my desire to provide you with the compassion and acceptance needed to break the ties that are keeping you from moving forward. I have worked in crisis counseling, school-based counseling, therapeutic foster care, parenting, and adoptions, particularly related to attachment theory. I have also provided homeschool, academic, and career counseling, as well as life coaching.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our session allow you the space to explore and make mental shifts that allow you to create healthy thoughts and behavioral patterns to better serve you in your daily life. It is my goal for you to gain greater insight into your emotions, thought, and behaviors, and learn new strategies to master self and to better navigate internal and external conflicts and stressors. I will work with you to resolve issues related to the internal self, relationships, attachment, past traumas, or abuse, that have created maladaptive cognitive, emotional, and behavioral patterns and provide tools for you to become the best version of yourself.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I so happy to have found Lesley. She has been a great support to me. I could talk with her for hours. She is very attentive and responds slow to truly understand you. Glad to have her!!
Lesley is a kind, patient provider who truly wants what's best for her patients. She is very solution-oriented and encourages you to change and adapt to things at your own pace with goals in mind.
She's very good at just listening and smiling.
Lesley is great (and I'm REALLY picky)! She has helped my daughter with her depression/anxiety as well as helped her and I work on our relationship. She's warm, empowering, intelligent and direct. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone.
My first therapist and she is truly wonderful. I enjoy being able to talk to her and am able to open up and work through things. Also never makes me feel crazy lol!
