I am licensed professional counselor in Texas who graduated from Wayland Baptist University. I have worked with all ages in private practice, as well as 33 years in education as a teacher, school counselor, and intervention counselor, working with PK3-12th grade. My passion is helping individuals, couples, and families be their best, work through challenges, and build healthy, positive relationships. My goal is to provide a safe environment for you to share your story, your strengths, your experiences, your challenges, and your triumphs. I believe we all have a need to be seen, heard, valued, and understood for who we are. Having someone to encourage you and help you through challenges can be invaluable. Counseling will include working together to help you reach your goals while providing a safe space to share your experiences. My approach includes several modalities, including person-centered therapy, solution focused therapy, and cognitive behavior therapy. Person-centered counseling provides a safe environment for you to share your story, your strengths, your experiences, your challenges, and your triumphs. Supporting you and working alongside you to be your best self. Solution focused therapy helps to identify your goals and problem solve ways to help you reach them. Cognitive Behavior therapy helps to reframe faulty thinking or negative thoughts into a more helpful way of thinking.
