Psychotherapist
108 W Citrus St, Altamonte Springs, FL
Hello, my name is Leslie Rachel and I am a licensed mental health counselor with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling. I enjoy the process of helping others get through a difficult time or figure out a way to get more happiness in their lives. My approach to therapy consists of accepting people for who they are, finding out what they need and want for themselves, and helping them get to the place in their lives where they want to be. I have worked extensively with children, teens, and adults of all ages. People come to see me for difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, limited coping skills, and/or problems with family. My client and I determine which behaviors they’re using that are causing them problems and then we develop a goal to address that problem behavior. A decrease in the use of the problem behavior begins the process of eliminating it. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with other modalities to address problematic client behaviors.
