“My sessions with Lexie have been profound, eye-opening, and constructive. I've made so much progress with Lexie in less than 10 sessions. She creates a safe and accepting space for me, letting me open myself up and using her skills to help me navigate my feelings. This has resulted in so much self-discovery for me. This is one of those "I finally found my therapist" moments. I come out of every session with so much that I learned about myself and this has helped me navigate my personal and social life. I also really appreciate how Lexie doesn't take too much space as a therapist in our sessions and steps in only to help me navigate what I'm going through, she is very effective in identifying those moments and I've appreciated her knowledge and expertise. I can't recommend Lexie enough to anyone looking for a great therapist.”

Getting to know Lexie Thrash

I am a compassionate, holistic, person-centered therapist who will work to meet you where you are, right now, at this moment. Together, we will develop a plan and a path forward in therapy that creatively addresses your needs. I am unequivocally LGBTQIA+ affirming and intersectional in my approach. I work with folks of all ages, and have particular experience working with couples, families, adolescents, and young adults with concerns including complex trauma, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, and depression, and navigating poly and open relationships. Seeking therapy can be a confusing, overwhelming and vulnerable task; I hope to walk with you on your journey, for as long as you may need. I received my M.S. in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute. My research area in graduate school was financial psychology and financial therapy, areas which I continue to study as part of my growing practice. I am also a certified yoga instructor with specialization in restorative and trauma-informed approaches.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a psychotherapist, I believe in a body-first approach, meaning we will look to bodily-felt sensations and movement patterns as a starting point for understanding your thoughts and feelings. In tandem with verbal conversation, we may also integrate movement, breath-work, guided meditation, and/or visual art into our sessions together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Each session is unique and individualized, based on your particular needs and goals. We will co-create a space in the virtual environment that fosters your development, introspection, creativity, and growth week-by-week.

Lexie is the absolute best. My partner and I look forward to our sessions with her every week because she gives us so much space and understanding to work through What’s on our minds. I even was able to bring to our sessions a topic that I have historically avoided talking about because Lexie made me feel so seen and safe, even while I was sharing my most vulnerable insecurities. Thank you Lexie for your amazing work!
I just cannot say enough good things about Lexie. My partner and I have been seeing her for couples sessions for almost a year, and we always look forward to our time with her, and leave our hour together feeling truly lighter and more reflective. I was even able to bring a topic to our sessions that I’ve historically avoided because it is one of my most vulnerable insecurities, but Lexie always makes me feel safe, seen, and heard. Thank you Lexie for your empathy, kindness, and dedication!
Lexie is an incredibly thoughtful, warm, and dynamic therapist. She provides a humanizing and thought-provoking experience, and has supported me so much over the last few months. I am so lucky to call her my therapist!
I really cant say enough good things about Lexie. She’s truly an inspiring therapist that really brings the best out in people. Highly recommend!
Lexie is empathetic, attentive, and makes me feel extremely comfortable. You can tell she puts her clients first and is focused on helping them meet their needs. I highly recommend Lexie as both a Dance Movement Therapist and a Talk Therapist!
Lexie is a kind, thoughtful, and incredibly empathetic therapist. She is highly knowledgeable and creative, always finding ways to bridge between traditional talk therapy and creative interventions. She goes above and beyond for her clients! I cannot recommend her enough!
I’ve been in sessions with Lexie for a bit over 6 months now and she has been amazing! She’s very easy to talk to and asks all the right questions. She genuinely loves her role and has an uncanny ability to make it so easy to talk to her about anything without any judgment. I can’t begin to say how instrumental Lexie is to my emotional well being. I highly recommend her to anyone!
Lexie is an amazing therapist. I have been seeing Lexie with my partner (couple's therapy) for 8+ months, and I am consistently impressed with her. She allows a lot of space for myself and my partner to speak, and when she does tap in to the conversation, it's usually a question or perspective that offers a huge unlock for both of us. She really hears you when you are speaking. She does not judge at all, so I feel like I am able to be completely open and honest in our sessions. Lexie has genuinely made a huge positive impact on my life and my relationship.
Therapy can feel awkward sometimes. That’s why I recommend Lexie! She’s super transparent and so sweet! You can tell she is genuinely invested in helping you from the beginning.
