Lexis brings diverse clinical experience across private practice and college settings. In private practice, she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, PTSD, eating disorders, life transitions, and other emotional challenges. She has also supported collegiate athletes with concerns related to performance anxiety, body image, time management, identity, and recovery from injury, while also helping athletes enhance performance through the development and application of mental skills.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I often remind clients that “this is your space.” If an approach I’m taking or a coping tool we discuss and apply doesn’t feel like the right fit, I encourage clients to be honest and vocal about it. I believe therapy should be collaborative, and the work we do together should feel meaningful, supportive, and aligned with the client’s goals for change. While I create space for honesty and openness, I also believe in challenging clients when appropriate. My goal is to support clients while encouraging them to step outside of their comfort zone, explore new perspectives, and make meaningful progress.
