Getting to know Leya Worcester

I'm Leya, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) based in Orange County, California. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I am passionate about treating mental health issues related to trauma, such as post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction and substance use, codependency, low self-worth, and emotional dysregulation. I can help you find balance and feel secure by integrating CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and EMDR. My approach Since I believe each person is unique, I use approaches that best meet your needs and preferences in therapy. However, I often integrate Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), emotion regulation skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and grounding skills from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in sessions. My focus I specialize in working with adults who feel they have lost a sense of balance, identity, or control in their lives. This can manifest as PTSD, addiction and substance use, codependent relationships, personality disorders, anger, or emotional distress stemming from anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I work with you to find balance, stability, and security in your life and relationships. My communication style My communication style is warm, calming, and inviting. It is my mission to offer you a safe, soothing space where you can show up as your authentic self so I can help you achieve the change you want. My journey to therapy My calling has always been to help others heal. My career began treating addiction and substance use, where I discovered how deeply my clients' stories resonated with me. It was as a substance use therapist that I learned about trauma and codependency-and uncovered my own trauma and codependence that needed healing. Since then, I have dedicated my practice to helping people find themselves, trust themselves, and heal themselves.
