What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a warm approach to counseling, with a good mix of humor. Clients tend to feel comfortable quickly and know they are not being judged. I use gentleness as well as honesty to confront unhelpful beliefs that hinder clients from having fulfilling connection with their loved ones.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I gather as much background as I can before diving into the presenting issue. After a couple of sessions, I start to feel oriented to the client and can begin a deeper dive into the reason they are in therapy.
