Hello! I hope this message finds you doing well; if not, you are in the right place. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Master's in Social Work graduate of Simmons University in Boston, MA-the oldest university of social work in the US. I immigrated to the US at age 7 from Angola, Africa, and grew up in Boston, MA. I speak Portuguese and English fluently. I have traveled the United States as a military wife and mother of four and now call Texas my home. The military community I have lived in has given me a special perspective on the trauma that many live with and effectively hide beneath their mask of normalcy in this abnormal world. I specialize in trauma therapy for children ages 5 to 17 and primarily work with this population and their families; however, as many maladaptive adult coping skills stem from undisclosed childhood trauma, I also treat adult survivors of childhood trauma.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
