Getting to know Ligia Allison

I began a career in teaching in 2001. A few years ago, after earning my MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University, I took my experience working with children and their parents and combined it with counseling. Now, I help parents like you reach their kids in ways they never knew possible.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Teaching children from all backgrounds and working with their families led me to a desire to serve people of various ages in a new way. I wanted to walk beside them in their pain and teach them skills to enrich their lives and deepen their relationships with Christ and others.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sessions will focus on your needs and how I can help you fulfill them. We will set goals as a team to address those needs. Needs may be focused on your own struggles or focused on how to talk to your hurting child without starting an argument. Goals may include improving communication or helping you clear emotional, cognitive, or spiritual blocks.
