Lileanna Flores, LCSW

Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I’m happy you’re here. I and an LCSW in Texas. My background is in crisis and suicide prevention. I have the opportunity to hold space for individuals feeling at their worst. I also am a believer that we do not need to wait until we are in crisis to receive help. I am a huge advocate for therapy and what it can do for your mental health and overall functioning. In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns impacting their emotions and actions. Through exercises like thought records and cognitive restructuring, clients learn to manage anxiety, build self-compassion, and handle life transitions. I tailor CBT to each client’s cultural and personal context, fostering resilience and self-esteem, especially in young and first-generation individuals. I offer a non-judgmental, accepting, and authentic environment that encourages self-exploration and personal growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I currently specialize in young adults, life transitions, and first-generation. If you’re struggling to navigate these transitions or engaging with your mental health for the first time, you’re not alone. Many, like you, are seeking support to work through the pressures of expectations, changes in life stages, and discovering what mental health care means for you. Take the next step to clarity and confidence. I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with me. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I was drawn to the mental health field through a mix of personal experience, curiosity, and a deep desire to support others through life’s hardest moments. Growing up, I often found myself being the “go-to” person for friends and family—someone who listened, made space, and helped make sense of things. That role shaped me, but it was later, through my own healing and work with inspiring mentors, that I realized I wanted to turn that natural ability into a purposeful career. Throughout my training and career, I’ve worked with individuals navigating identity, trauma, life transitions, and generational challenges—especially in first-gen and BIPOC communities. These experiences continue to shape how I show up: with empathy, cultural awareness, and an understanding that healing looks different for everyone. What keeps me grounded in this work is witnessing my clients’ growth. Even the smallest shifts—setting boundaries, finding peace, rediscovering joy—remind me why I do what I do. Therapy isn’t just about treating symptoms; it’s about helping people reconnect with who they are and what they’re capable of. Therapy with me is collaborative, goal-focused, and always centered around you. From our first sessions, we’ll identify what matters most to you—whether that’s managing anxiety, building healthier relationships, or feeling more confident in who you are. We’ll create meaningful goals together that reflect your values and what you hope to gain from therapy. As life shifts, your goals might too—and that’s part of the process. We’ll regularly check in and adjust as needed, making space for growth and change along the way. My role is to support you with structure, insight, and encouragement. I help break goals into manageable steps, celebrate your progress, and provide guidance when things feel tough. Whether your goals are big or small, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and care.
