Getting to know Lilia Montes

HELLO, finding a fitting therapist is a big part of your success in therapy, so I encourage meeting for a consultation to answer any questions and get to know each other. AS FOR ME, I am a Texas State University graduate and I have experience in multiple settings including schools, hospitals, inpatient facilities, county mental health, and private practices. This has allowed me to work with diverse humans and engage many different therapeutic styles. I have a passion for creating space for my community of BIPOC, ADHD, parents, and LGBTQIA that range from adolescents to adults. OUTSIDE THE OFFICE, I spend a lot of time in nature as this is a healing place for me that I like to encourage others to consider as a therapeutic tool. My immediate family consists of my Wife, 2 kiddos, and lots of pets. We spend time together hiking/exploring nature, joining city-wide events, attending our kids activities , and trying new foods. REACH OUT, if you find yourself aligning with my practice, I look forward to supporting and growing with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

We will work together to process through struggles, seek out the goal, and create a plan for growth. This can include creating a toolbox of skills to support you through life's challenges. This can also include just talking and having someone listen, honor, and validate your concerns. As well, this can look like troubleshooting our thoughts, behaviors, and reactionary responses to find healthier solutions that work for you. Each session is unique to each clients' needs and wants from therapy.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
