Are you the eldest child? Is it difficult to be vulnerable and trust that others can take care of you? Being the eldest child myself, I can relate to the complexities of navigating your internal world alongside the external one. I bring curiosity, empathy, and authenticity into my sessions to let clients know I am truly invested in what they have to say. Taking a client's culture, family background, and intergenerational patterns and trauma into account is a vital part of my approach. Opening yourself up to the therapeutic process can be scary and vulnerable, but there is life beyond that fear. Therapy needs to be an example of safety in a world where safety is not guaranteed. I firmly believe that reclaiming our story can create growth and change to help us achieve our desired personal potential. I borrow from Narrative and Adlerian approaches, which provide an in-depth process to better understand a client's internal world. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University and completed my internship at AMK Counseling, experiences that have deepened my commitment to culturally sensitive and client-centered care. Hablo Espa?ol! As a Latina, I personally understand the internal struggle that comes with seeking therapeutic services and hope to provide a safe space for Latines and individuals with multiple intersecting identities to process at their own pace. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish. If my approach seems like a good fit, my door is open to you!
