Yes, we all face times in our lives where we seem to struggle in one way or another. Whether this is a new life event, a breakdown in your ability to manage your stressors, or a challenge you are facing, I can help you find the power within yourself to overcome your obstacles, learn new skills, and explore ways to face the ever-changing dynamics in our lives. With all of the changes in our world, all of the stresses we face, and all of the uncertainties, we can work together to find a way to find your power and overcome these obstacles to live your best life. With 20 years of experience in my field, I have worked with lots of different people in many different situations. I have worked extensively within the child welfare system with the children and families working to overcome barriers and limitations in order to thrive. I began working with young at-risk children in the school setting, shelters environments, and in foster and adoptive homes. After several years I moved to an outpatient position where I saw children of all ages and in all situations at a community mental health organization. I have been in leadership for 10 years and have since worked with adults with mental health and substance use disorders in a variety of settings. Throughout my career I have learned and developed skills to assist children, adults and families to overcome their challenges and learn how to cope with what life throws at us. My ability to build rapport and build trusting, lasting relationships with mt clients to provide support, accountability, and motivation is evident in my success.
