Lillian Eyre, LPC

Psychotherapist
PA
Hi there, I'm Lillian! My name is Lillian Eyre (she/her). For over 25 years, I have worked as a music therapist (MT-BC), licensed professional counselor (LPC), and professor of music therapy (PhD). I provide telehealth therapy in the state of PA, specializing in adults from 18 to 90+ years to treat anxiety, depression, stress, OCD, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, and relational distress. While my primary approach is humanistic, I also use techniques derived from cognitive, behavioral, dialectical, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapy when these are helpful to you. My approach My approach is flexible as I believe that it is important that you play a role in the decision-making and goal-setting for your own therapy. I will help you reach those goals using various therapeutic techniques. Together, we will discuss your thoughts, emotions, and their impact on your life. We will draw on your positive resources and creativity to process your experiences and to find constructive ways to help you thrive at your optimum. My focus My style works best with adults who feel that the challenges they face are impeding their desired progress in life, which may include relationship issues, career goals, and self-image. Often, current problems may have roots in the past, and in addition to talk therapy, we may decide to use right-brain practices such as art and music to illuminate and work through them to bring insight and change. My communication style I favor humanistic engagement in the therapy session. You and I are two people working together to deepen our understanding of your experiences and to find positive pathways forward. This relationship between us is a primary means of growth and healing. Therefore, I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental atmosphere of unconditional acceptance where reflection and insight can flourish, and you can develop new life skills.
