What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with clients experiencing trauma, including sexual violence and domestic abuse, grief, anxiety, and depression. My approach integrates humanistic, existential, and behavioral therapies with mindfulness practices. By nurturing self-awareness, we can notice negative thoughts and unhealthy behaviors with compassion instead of judgment. This foundation supports genuine self-acceptance and lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our initial sessions, my goal is to understand your current challenges and how they affect your daily life. I’ll also ask about different aspects of your life, including your job, hobbies, and whether you have pets. I am an animal lover. Because therapy can sometimes feel intimidating, I aim to foster a welcoming and relaxed environment where you feel at ease sharing not only your struggles but also the things you value and enjoy. Then together, we will develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs and focused on helping you cope more effectively. We will periodically review your therapeutic goals to assess your progress and decide if new goals should be added to your treatment plan.
