She is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level II, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Dr. Buckmon has more than thirty years of training and experience working with substance abuse, mental health, and traumatic stress as a clinician and training provider. Dr. Buckmon has brought traumatology into forensic settings and has worked with difficult populations including criminal offenders. Dr. Buckmon is active in her community volunteering in various advocacy activities through her sorority Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.
