Psychotherapist

Hello, I'm Linda. I meet my clients where they are at in life. Life can be challenging, and it can be helpful to have someone listen empathetically without judgment to help you navigate life's challenges. Every individual is different, and my approach to therapy will reflect the individual's needs. Therapy requires trust and vulnerability, which can provoke anxiety for some people, but I assure you that I provide a safe, confidential, and compassionate space to explore experiences, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I am grateful for the opportunity to help individuals find meaning in their lives and guide them to empowerment so they can make the healthy changes they want to see in their lives. I encourage you not to wait for the crisis to reach out for help; instead, let's work together to prepare you so that you are able to handle the crisis and heal from it more effectively if and when it arises. I have extensive experience working with military service members, veterans, and public safety professionals. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University with a specialization in Trauma and Crisis. I have been trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have been a Grief Recovery Specialist since December 2021 when I completed the Grief Recovery Method Certification Training. I have provided counseling services in a variety of settings including private practice, Adolescent Psychiatric Hospital, Adult Psychiatric Hospital, sexual assault advocacy center, and law enforcement agency. I have counseled adolescents and adults in both individual and group settings for anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, psychosis, anger, trauma, family conflict, and abuse. If you are dealing with depression, grief, life transitions, or any other challenges, I am here to support you. My specialties include working with individuals facing depression, grief and bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, military and veteran support, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, sex and intimacy issues, stress, trauma, and anxiety. Together, we can work towards finding meaning and empowerment in your life. Please don't hesitate to reach out; I look forward to working with you.
