What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to help the client feel safe and comfortable in their therapy journey. We will focus on what is important to the client. All work is done at the client's pace. I may offer homework between sessions, which are designed to foster connection, bring about more understanding, increase positive behavioral changes, and reduce conflict in the areas we are working on. In addition, it is important for the client to know that they are in the drivers seat in their therapy. Also important to know, sometimes therapy is not a straight path, but one that can have many directions that will help the client get to the path that is most helpful, enriching and healthy. MY TRAINING AND CREDENTIALS: Although this not an exhaustive list, here are a few areas of my training, EMDR EMDRIA trained therapist, level 2 trained in the Gottman Method for Couples, Developmental Couples Therapy for Complex Trauma, Exposure Response Prevention Therapy, Complex Trauma Training I and II, Ego State Therapy, Dissociation-Focused Trauma Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Coping and Relaxation skills, Life Transitioning. I work with Individual and couples, on a wide range of mental health diagnosis; to name a few, Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, OCD, PTSD/Complex PTSD, Dissociation, Life Transitioning, Grief. Further, I am trained as a Health and Life Coach from an International Coaching Federation approved coaching program. This coaching credential allows me the ability to work with clients anywhere in the United States seeking assistance as an individual or couple. If you are curious about working together, consider scheduling an appointment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session provides an opportunity for the client to share what is on their mind and their therapy goals, as well as ask me any questions. In this first session I will go over my Intake Form, which is me asking you questions to get to know you. Then together, we discuss a plan to help how to get you to your goals. Each session will go in the direction the client wants to go, to talk about what is on their mind that day, and or, continue a therapy modality we have been working on. Regarding continued sessions, I like to check in on self care and any concerns the client since our last session.
