Hi there, I'm Linda! My approach is a whole-person approach, supporting mind, body, and soul. I have 26 years of experience in the mental health field working with a variety of populations. I hold a Master's in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Grand Canyon University. My approach I use an eclectic approach tailored to fit the needs and desires of each unique person. I combine Strength-Based, Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Gestalt, Existential, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Trauma Resiliency Model, Humanistic Psychology, and mindfulness-based approaches. My focus I have experience working with adolescents, adults, elder adults, and couples. Using a trauma-informed lens, I support individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, life stressors, grief, relationship discord, addictions, and low self-esteem. Together, we will explore the complexity of physiological, cognitive, conscious, and unconscious responses and implement strength-based skills and tools that support mental health recovery. My communication style My communication style is transparent, empathetic, and non-judgmental, which fosters safety and a trusting therapeutic relationship. I also use a bit of humor when appropriate. My goals for you Goals are driven by you and what you want to achieve through the therapeutic process. I use SMART goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Bound. My first session with you The first session will focus on building rapport, learning your history, understanding what brought you in for services, what you want to address in therapy, your strengths, and the outcomes you desire in the process.
