ME
Hello! My name is Justine Baltrus, LMFT #132018. I have been practicing therapy for 10 years. I focus on helping clients overcome barriers and learn new skills to address their goals in life. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Amberton University. My approach I have a client-centered approach in therapy, as I have come to understand that everyone's life and circumstances are different. I believe in meeting clients where they are at in life. My focus I have primarily worked with clients who live with severe and persistent mental illness. I am accustomed to working with clients who experience depression and anxiety. My communication style I have learned that clients are comfortable working with me because I offer a non-judgmental environment. My journey to mental healthcare As a young adult, I always knew I wanted to work with people and help them become the best versions of themselves. Through my practice, I’ve learned that many people experience mental health symptoms that affect their familial, social, and occupational functioning. This can be frustrating and may lead people to feel alone. My goal in therapy is to help identify and acknowledge these barriers and support clients in reaching their goals. My goals for you I assess goals by asking what clients would like to achieve in therapy. My first session with you Clients can expect a brief introduction, a discussion of limits of confidentiality, and intake questions to begin therapeutic services in the following sessions.
