Hi ! My name is Linda Schmidt, LCSW, LCADC. I am an LCSW in New Jersey in good standing and have 23 years experience in clinical social work. I am also an LCADC in New Jersey in good standing with 7 years experience working with adults struggling with alcohol and substance use. I provide a safe place to explore all aspects of yourself, your history, and your present including trauma, loss, relationships, race, and family of origin in order to understand how these various layers shape your experiences and current concerns. I encourage clients to explore faith-based perspectives and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to promote development of understanding and insight. What you may expect from therapy to benefit from discussing your issues and concerns, with a personal treatment plan addressing areas of low self-esteem, anger management, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, stress, relationship/family issues, drug and alcohol use and awareness, triggers/urges to use, developing coping skills, a personalized relapse prevention plan, positive changes in healthy, sober choices, and maintaining sobriety.
