What should a new client know about working with you?

I work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. I truly believe what consumes your mind, controls your life. However, I tailor my sessions based on the needs of my clients. Whether that be having a more direct approach, needing more homework assignments, needing relaxation, etc.. I also provide EMDR therapy for intense trauma processing. This modality can also be used to build confidence, skills, and relaxation. For those needing substance use therapy. We will work at your pace to build resources you need to have successful sobriety.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My first three sessions are information gathering sessions and building rapport. We are focusing on getting a lot of history information that is needed for me to understand your needs and be able to formulate an appropriate treatment plan. During this time, you will learn different coping strategies tailored to what you are needing at the moment. After these three sessions, we will be focusing on specific areas that you are struggling with and develop appropriate skills to address them.

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $150 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $150-200 for 60 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

More information on payments and coverage

My billers will verify benefits and copays will not be charged until after first claim is processed. In the event insurance copay is too expensive or I am not in network with a provider, I do offer payment plans. I also have a set number of sliding scale options for clients.
