Hi! I’m Lindsay and I am so grateful you are here. Let me tell you a little about myself. Initially I was interested in becoming a teacher. In high school, I had an internship in Detroit as a teacher aide and saw the need for mental health services for students. This led to an undergraduate Psychology major at Denison University and graduate studies at University of Southern California Suzanne-Dworak Peck School of Social Work, where I interned at a charter school (East Los Angeles) and a public school (South Los Angeles). Inevitably I encountered the barriers often faced by school counselors: high student-to-counselor ratios, lack of access and resources, and an emphasis on immediate, short-term results. I changed my focus to community mental health where the more formal setting enabled me to better address the emotional and mental health needs of children and caregivers. Having endured my own traumatic loss as a toddler, I had always been interested in learning how the impact of traumas and early life experiences impact a person; and how instrumental support can be. This motivated me to work with children aged 0-5 and their caregivers in East Los Angeles. I provided support and interventions focused on improving attachment and attunement, processing trauma, and fostering healthy development. My tools were Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). The experience gave me skills necessary to work with individuals experiencing ongoing traumas and stressors. This transferred seamlessly when I began working with the military population in San Diego. Missing working with kids, I returned to the child mental health world and worked at an outpatient clinic. Unfortunately I again came across the pressure to “fix” rather than “foster and develop.” This led me to create something unique: a consultative approach.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a warm and inviting space so that you can share your concerns you have regarding your child and parenting. With your experience as a parent and my experience as a professional, I will help build insight into the behaviors of concern and offer strategies utilizing at attachment and developmental lens rooted in neuroscience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Parenting can feel overwhelming, especially when your child’s big behaviors, sleep struggles, sensory challenges, or tantrums leave you second-guessing yourself. You want to raise your child with intention and connection—but you’re exhausted, anxious, or unsure what will actually help. I support parents who want to move from reactivity to regulation and from self-doubt to confidence. Through conscious parenting and positive discipline–aligned approaches, I help caregivers of children of all ages understand what’s beneath the behavior and feel more grounded, empowered, and connected. For families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, I also provide in-home 0–5 dyadic therapy for attachment concerns, early trauma, behavioral challenges, and regulatory issues. Together, we focus on strengthening your bond, supporting co-regulation, and helping your child feel safe and understood. I also provide parent coaching and consultations. My work is attachment-based, trauma-informed, and guided by neuroscience. I’m trained and certified in PCIT and CPP, drawing from relational and developmentally attuned models that honor both your child’s needs and your own. If you’re seeking calm, clarity, and a more connected relationship with your child, I’d be honored to support your family.
