“I had worked with a handful of other therapists before finding Lindsey and I am so grateful to have found her. Her depth of knowledge and ability to meet me exactly where I am in each session has been amazing. I've gained an immense amount of insight into myself and new perspectives that have been so helpful in moving through things that have historically been very difficult for me . I have grown so much in the time I have been seeing her. I can't recommend her enough.”

Getting to know Lindsay Roth

Hi there, I'm Lindsay! Lindsay A. Roth, LCSW. I take an eclectic approach that includes evidence-based practices and intuitive modalities, such as astrology and dreamwork, tailored to actualize your unique goals. My approach Social workers are different from other therapists because we are trained to consider the client within their environment. I do not diagnose or medicate. I work to amplify the sovereign wisdom of each individual while honoring and addressing the ways they may be debilitated by environmental factors such as trauma, oppression, and systemic violence. I favor ACT, Internal Family Systems, Feminist Therapy, and logotherapy—however, my theoretical approaches are client-specific. My focus I have been a social worker for over 10 years and have experience in a variety of settings with all populations. I am open to working with individuals 8+, couples, and families of all types. Most of my experience and training are serving marginalized populations: I am comfortable treating LGBTQAI+ clients, people in the sex industry, people who use drugs, and justice-involved people. My communication style At its most basic, therapy is about one imperfect human connecting with another. I am just another flawed human here to bear witness, validate, support, and celebrate you. We humans learn best through play, and I do hope to build a friendly, playful rapport so our sessions are effective and also enjoyable. My journey to mental healthcare I have a deep commitment to social justice and building a better world for all beings. I previously worked as a high school teacher and community organizer. After years of trying to "change the system," I have found that peace and justice must first manifest in our most intimate relationship with ourselves. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, which has deeply informed my practice and commitment to client-centered care.
