I strive to create an environment where my clients will feel safe, valued, and heard. I focus on developing a strong therapeutic alliance which sets the foundation of our work. I specialize in working with bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related issues, relationships, stress management, transitions, grief and loss, self-esteem, and personal growth. My goal is to meet the unique needs of each individual through the use of various treatment modalities and interventions. I utilize a person-centered approach to therapy where the focus is on developing a warm, positive, validating experience. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy are also used. Using a combination of approaches enables me to find the best path to help my clients learn how to help themselves. I provide insight and feedback to my clients, drawing from their strengths and abilities to overcome barriers and to identify ways to manage life’s challenges and stressors. I encourage my clients to strive for more, to aim to be better than they were yesterday, and to never stop challenging themselves in order to reach their fullest potentials.
