Psychotherapist
MO
Welcome. This is a safe space for ALL. The most common thing I have heard from clients over the years is that it feels very lonely to carry things alone. While honoring your unique experience, I am here to help you feel empowered and validated. I look forward to meeting you soon. My approach I am not a textbook therapist. I use whatever approaches work best for clients. I am not a fixer, but I can be solutions-focused when the time calls for moving forward and finding some clarity with goals. I am very strength-based. Trust me, you have strengths, and we can learn to use them. My focus I have a lot of experience in schools. Do you have a child in school, and you are feeling lost and overwhelmed about how to help? Are you an educator feeling burnt out? I am here to help. Educators, I will work with you on scheduling. Are you someone who is overwhelmed by making changes? I am a therapist for you. Relationships count. My communication style While I am professional and the things we are talking about are often serious in nature, I still think humor can be an important aspect of therapy when time is appropriate. I am not direct unless it's a safety concern, and I am very open to feedback and your direction of the sessions. My journey to mental healthcare I was a big sister for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and it really opened my eyes to connecting with people in a different way. I have always loved working with people and always hated math, so this was a great profession for me. My goals for you Long-term goals feel very amazing to set, but then they often get lost and given up on. Progress is most likely there but cannot be seen or measured, and that's a problem. That will not happen when working with me. We will create smaller, much more attainable goals together to measure our progress along the way and assess and change as needed.
