What should a new client know about working with you?

I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches to ensure that therapy is individualized for each client’s needs. I use a client centered and holistic approach while combining techniques from a variety of therapeutic methods to provide support specific to each client. I prioritize the mind-body connection and working to create balance in all areas of life. Depending on your individual needs, we will combine strategies of focusing on emotional responses and analyzing thoughts and perspectives to best support you in the changes you desire. I use an intuitive eating approach as well as being HAES (Health at Every Size) aligned when working with individuals with eating disorders or other disordered eating challenges.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Starting therapy can be a difficult and intimidating decision. I believe that therapy is client led and we will move through the therapeutic process at a pace that is most comfortable for each client. It can be helpful to begin therapy by focusing on what is most difficult for you at this time and allowing those topics to guide us into deeper discussions. I look forward to working with you and providing the support you desire throughout the therapeutic process.
