Getting to know Lindsey Duncan

Hello, my name is Lindsey Duncan, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I'm so happy that you reached out for help. A little about me: I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I have worked with a variety of populations, including children, adults, couples, and families seeking counseling for over 7 years, both online and in my private practice. My passion in life is to help individuals transform their lives. I find success when I see others blossom toward personal growth and development. I enjoy working with a wide variety of populations who are focused on emotional growth, development, and recovery. I have experience working with many populations dealing with mood disorders, addiction, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and dual diagnosis.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session I want to provide support and listen to your daily struggles while providing a comfortable safe and trusting environment. I strive for comfort but also want to help you get to the root of your issues. I want to hear and provide validation in your struggles, needs, and concerns. I strive to be understanding and help you work on all your desired goals. I want you to see positive and negative patterns and learn healthy concepts that you may not consider to improve your life. I want to provide positive advice and active listening in order to increase positive development and improve mood.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
