Getting to know Lindsey Richard

I'm Lindsey Richard, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Counseling from Tarleton State University and 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, set meaningful goals, and work through obstacles to create a healthier, happier life. Whether you are facing stress, anxiety, life transitions, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to guide and support.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients identify challenges, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful change. With CBT, I help clients recognize and reframe negative thought patterns that may be influencing emotions and behaviors. We will work together to replace the negative thoughts with healthier, more constructive ways of thinking, leading to positive behavioral changes and improved emotional well-being. With SFT, I help emphasize clients' strengths and past successes, guiding you toward practical solutions. This forward-thinking approach allows clients to set realistic, achievable goals and confidence in the ability to create change. I provide a supportive and goal-oriented environment where clients can gain insight, develop new skills, and move toward a healthier more fulfilling life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients can expect to feel heard, understood, and supported in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. My goal is to build a trusting relationship where the client feels comfortable exploring their thoughts and emotions openly. Together, we will work on setting realistic goals, developing practical strategies, and building on strengths to created positive change. Each session is designed to foster personal growth, clarity, and confidence in navigating life's challenges.
