Linsey Brewster, LCSW

Psychotherapist
21212 NW Fwy, Houston, TX
As a Clinical Social Worker with more than 10 years of experience, I have had the privilege of supporting adolescents, adults, and older adults through life's challenges and transitions. I earned my Master of Social Work from Barry University and have worked across a variety of settings, including education, foster care, adoption, and behavioral health. Originally from South Florida and now proudly calling Texas home, I enjoy traveling, college football, and getting lost in a good thriller book or movie. My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and tailored to each individual's unique needs. I believe therapy should be a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Together, we'll explore your experiences, uncover patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to help you move toward the life you want. If you're here, chances are something in your life isn't feeling quite right. You may be struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, grief, past experiences, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself beneath the demands and expectations of everyday life. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't have to navigate it alone. My goal is to meet you where you are while providing a space that is both supportive and gently challenging. Together, we can build on your strengths, foster resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. I am committed to helping you feel empowered, confident, and equipped to move forward with greater clarity, healing, and self-compassion. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey, where growth meets grace.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's your first time. My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. In our first few sessions, we'll spend time getting to know one another and exploring what has brought you to therapy. We'll discuss your current concerns, important life experiences, relationships, strengths, and the goals you'd like to work toward. I believe that every client is the expert on their own life, so therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to identify what is and isn't working and create a path forward that feels meaningful to you. As therapy progresses, we'll explore patterns, thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be contributing to your challenges. We'll work to increase self-awareness, build on your existing strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and practice new ways of responding to life's difficulties. I strive to balance support with gentle challenge, helping you gain insight while also creating practical changes that can improve your daily life. Throughout our work together, I tailor each session to your individual needs. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions and past experiences, while others may be more solution-focused and centered on developing skills, setting goals, or navigating specific situations. My approach is flexible because I recognize that no two clients or journeys are the same. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward greater healing, resilience, and confidence. Whether you're seeking support through a difficult season, working through past experiences, or striving for personal growth, I am honored to walk alongside you in the process.
