Getting to know Lisa Auricchio

My passion lies in working with individuals affected by complex childhood trauma, helping them find balance and clarity as they navigate challenges with emotional regulation and self-esteem. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the State University of New York, Buffalo. I am certified in EMDR therapy through EMDRIA and currently in the process of completing Level One training in IFS Therapy through the IFS Institute. I also work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, and OCD. For the treatment of OCD, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

What should a new client know about working with you?

I understand that it takes a great deal of courage to be vulnerable with others. Some of our life experiences can leave us with deep emotional pain—self-doubt, low self-esteem, and a sense of disconnection. Whether rooted in childhood trauma, abuse, loss, or significant life changes, this pain often manifests as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties. Even with our best efforts to make changes, these obstacles can feel difficult to overcome. Healing isn’t always linear. Some days feel harder than others—overwhelming and uncertain. These moments are part of being human, and you don't have to navigate them alone. I am dedicated to helping you heal, replace harsh self-talk with self-compassion, & connect with the internal strength you already have.
