Hello, I am Dr. Lisa Casados, born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with my doctorate in Psychology. As an Asian, Latina millennial therapist growing up in Hawai'i who has experienced trauma, I offer empathy and understanding of many different struggles across cultures. I have almost 10 years of experience working with children and adults in various settings, including private practice, schools (both public and private), nonprofit organizations, and state agencies. My speciality is childhood trauma, working with adults and children who have experienced trauma. I currently offer in person (Chinatown, Oahu) or virtual appointments. Private pay only (no insurance). I am trained in Ketamine assisted psychotherapy, EMDR, TF-CBT, TGCT, and certified in PCIT.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is directive and trauma focused. My goal is to help you build coping skills, process trauma in a safe way, and be able to have symptom reduction in your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first sessions, we complete an intake interview which is an extensive history taking. Then we formulate a treatment plan which will be trauma targets. After that, we will build coping skills and make sure you are able to regulate before proceeding to trauma processing. The sessions are around your comfort level and you are in control of how fast or slow we go.
