Getting to know Lisa Corbett

Hello, my name is Lisa Corbett. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of South Carolina and am currently working on a Doctorate Degree at Simmons University. I have over 26 years of experience working with clients individually and in groups. My career started in mental health and substance treatment, and I have worked in forensic, government, and corporate settings. My specialty is stress management, weight management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and personal growth. I enjoy working with college students, young adults, and seniors. I utilize various treatment modalities to assist clients with improving their overall mental and physical health.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session, I usually complete a full assessment and obtain a narrative picture of the client's reason for entering therapy. Upon completing the initial intake, I work with the client to develop treatment goals. I utilize different treatment modalities depending on what is going on with the client.
