Hi there, I'm Lisa! Hi! My name is Lisa Jorgensen, LPCC #17236. I hold a Master’s in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton. My approach to therapy is collaborative, integrative, and intentional, and I am dedicated to providing a non-judgmental, supportive, safe, and empathetic environment for you as you embark on your healing journey. As a humanistic and person-centered therapist, I believe you are the expert on yourself and I am here to walk with you and hold space as you navigate this path. From addressing everyday stressors to managing difficult – sometimes debilitating – symptoms of high-acuity mental health disorders, I work to create a therapeutic relationship that promotes healing and functionality. My approach While flexible, eclectic, and multifaceted, my therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed and mindfulness-based perspectives. Because of the populations I work with, I also view therapy through neurobiological and systems lenses. It’s important to me to consider a holistic view of you and understand how biological, socio-cultural, and systemic factors influence your mental health and wellbeing. I use a range of evidence-based modalities to meet your unique needs, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), attachment theories, mindfulness, and somatic techniques. Above all, I work to create a safe space where you feel truly seen and heard. My focus I specialize in working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, addiction, trauma, and abuse. I also have extensive experience with veterans, active-duty military personnel, military spouses, and those who are justice-involved, previously incarcerated, affiliated, or experiencing homelessness.
