Hi there, I'm Lisa! I am an LMHC in Florida and LPC in Oregon. I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. I have worked in the field of Mental Health and Human Services for over twenty years. As a practical, interactive, solution-focused counselor, my approach is to provide support, with insight and feedback to assist you with your current concerns, while also addressing persistent issues from the past. My approach My overall desire is to provide you with an emotional and physical space where you will feel seen and heard. Therapy can be emotionally demanding but also life-transforming. I welcome being a part of your healing process! My focus I specialize in working with adults affected by trauma, grief, PTSD, parenting skills, relationship issues, illness, aging, co-parenting skills, and with people who struggle with anxiety and mood disorders. My communication style I welcome open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I value active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic partner. If we're working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient. I also utilize humor in a respectful and appropriate manner. My journey to mental healthcare I have always known I had the desire to help people. I am drawn to people and their stories and journeys. Directly out of college, I worked in vocational counseling with a diverse group of people, focusing on those with developmental disabilities. This then led me to individual therapy. Initially, I worked with children and families involved in foster care, and then I began working with and assisting other groups. I am licensed in both Florida and Oregon currently.
