“I've only had two sessions so far but just being able to say things that usually just sit in m head out loud and just word vomit sometimes to a neutral person had been so refreshing. And being able to crack a joke without judgement is refreshing... (some therapists really don't understand humor is healing). I'm excited to see where my therapy journey goes for future visits.”

Getting to know Lisa M Harmon

Hello, With over 16 years of experience in mental health and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, I have a conviction about the human capacity to grow, develop, and adapt throughout life. I appreciate that each person brings to therapy a unique self: the combination of one's personal characteristics, early family relationships, and life experiences. Many times, our most significant growth occurs as a result of learning to cope with challenges that occur in life and the stress that often accompanies change. Therapy can be an excellent tool to help clarify your thoughts, as well as reach a healthy life balance. I look forward to meeting with you and working hard together to explore the deeper meanings of your experiences as they relate to the present, and how you would like to see yourself in the future.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My clinical focus is on the intersection and interaction of one's past and present in significant relationships and responses to life events. I carefully assess and then build upon the strengths of the individual, encouraging and supporting the growth of greater capacity for reflection, flexibility, and problem solving.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
